About Us

We sincerely hope you enjoy your dining experience with us and consider Rubicon your home away from home.

Our core business philosophy is focused on people. Our goal is to provide a memorable experience and bless those that come in contact with our restaurants. This includes our staff, farmers/suppliers, guests, community, and shareholders.

Our team members enjoy a professional atmosphere where respect, recognition and teamwork exemplify our work ethic. We invest in training and development of our team, and provide opportunities for career advancement. We take pride in sharing our success stories of staff members being promoted from dishwasher, server, or line cook to Managing Partner of their own restaurant. Our greatest reward is hearing from our team about how our restaurants have touched their lives, and how they love to come to work.

Our farmers and suppliers are respected and treated like family. We support their efforts by delivering the best products at a fair and value driven price. Our food tastes great because we buy premium ingredients, and strive to buy organic, locally sourced produce whenever possible.

Our guests enjoy our outstanding service, quality menu offerings – all delivered in our warm and inviting atmosphere. We strive to exceed the guest’s expectation for each dining experience. Our management team is committed to “touching” each and every table, so please provide us with any and all feedback…we guarantee you will leave with a smile or your meal is on us.

Our community is grateful for the jobs we create, and our team members are involved and supportive of many local non-profits. We are honored by the recognition our community has given us, from local “Best Of” awards, online “off the chart” reviews to national “Top 50” restaurant rankings. To date, we have supported the following local non-profits: Family Resource Center, Project Mana, Tahoe Truckee School of Music, Truckee Bike Park, The KidZone Museum, Inner Rhythms Dance Studio, Arts for the Schools, and many in-kind donations, as well. We also have a long standing tradition of recognizing our “local hero’s” by offering a free entrée to all teachers, nurses, firefighters, police officers and active military during our slow seasons.

Our shareholders take pride in participating in our higher purpose of pleasing others, and share in our success when we meet or exceed our goals. Our most recent restaurant openings include many of our staff members as investors, as well.
